The mining potential of Africa has long been acknowledged and its potential was recognised after diligence on geology, infrastructure and legal requirements. The CIC aids miners and developers in the gold , coal, iron ore and limestone mining sectors and has minority interests in mining projects in East and Southern Africa.

Supply and Trading

We have in-depth physical market expertise and a global network of blue chip buyers in both public and private sectors, and can provide channels to market because we are mandated to find various specifications for the buyers

• We are a trusted partner for both buyers and sellers and work with many industries including power generation companies, steel mills and cement industries
  
• We support coal mines with their international marketing efforts and the structuring of off-take agreements, and assists commodity consumers with their procurement efforts in securing supply
  
• We offer comprehensive services across the transaction chain, from origination, negotiation, and structuring to logistics. We can also assist in arranging financing in select cases
  
• Our work is always cross-border – supporting national and international firms as they act in unfamiliar territories

• The CIC has minority ownership of a number of goldmines in Tanzania and coal mines in Mozambique
