Power A power generation deficit that exists in Africa has enabled the CIC to take the lead on projects related to power generation using oil and gas and coal as fuel sources as well as renewable energy. CIC is working in collaboration with local partners in Uganda for the development of gas power plants. In addition CIC is exploring possibility of implementing captive power plants for industrial Estates in Nigeria.
The CIC has also developed a 10MW solar power project in Gujarat. In addition, CIC is working closely with a local mini hydro power company in Sri Lanka to attract Foreign Investment. CIC is advising a London listed power company from India to identify partners to build new power generation plants in three African countries. These projects relate to power generation using oil and gas and coal as fuel sources. CIC has further mandates to fulfil power opportunities in hydro and renewable energy in several West and East African countries.
